LeatherEveryone

I am one of the dykes who run LeatherDyke.com, a totally free site run solely by dykey volunteers.

Lots of people have argued that they don't wish to converse to us about themselves so we can get to know them before we let them in, or have expressed disappointment that they don't fit the homosexual-woman-loving-woman criteria for LeatherDyke.com, and have stated that making such artificial distinctions as homo vs hetero, or woman vs man... is wrong. That such discrimination is inherently vile.

For a long time I argued that the internet is a near-inexhaustable resource, and that every single person should be free to put talent and hours and care into making whatever little community they wish. There's room for all of us.

But then I got to thinking. Maybe I *am* the only gal in the world who does webhosting for a living ( http://dyketech.com ). Wouldn't that be sad if I was hogging all the space.

So I made a space for you.

What makes community? Can a community that is borderless exist as a community? Let's find out.

LeatherEveryone.com

Wanna be a leathereveryone.com moderator? Talk to me. Wanna do some site mods or design? Talk to me. Feel like adding sections, doing some coding to make this run smoothly? Sure. But no gatekeepers! Any human with a keyboard who is interested in leather can join LeatherEveryone.com. That's right. Anyone.

Okay, fellow leatherfolk, fetishists, and BDSM players -- that site's for you. You make it into what you want it to be.
